Deep Dark Wood Café Bundle

Welcome to the Deep Dark Wood Café 🌿

A full printable role-play bundle designed to turn your mud kitchen, sensory kitchen or home corner into a woodland café inspired by a certain much-loved deep dark wood.

This is one of those resources you can print and use as much or as little of as you like. Set up the full café or simply choose a recipe, add a few bowls and ingredients and let the children take it from there.

Children can choose from the café specials including Granny’s Stew, Gruffalo Crumble, Forest Tea and Muddy Paws Pudding, with visual resources designed to support children to follow sequences, make choices, talk about what they're doing and become completely absorbed in their play.     Deep Dark Wood Cafe Bundle

The bundle includes Deep Dark Wood Café signage, a specials menu, open and closed signs, step-by-step visual recipe cards and ingredient cards. There are recipes for Granny’s Stew and Gruffalo Crumble, including alternative versions so you can choose the style that works best for your children and your provision.     Deep Dark Wood Cafe Bundle

There are so many opportunities for learning hidden within the play — communication and language, sequencing, counting, imaginative play, fine motor development, following instructions, recognising ingredients and making independent choices.

Use it in the mud kitchen, take it outdoors, add it to a sensory set-up or create your own little café indoors.

As always, you don't need to recreate it perfectly. Take what you need. Adapt it. Make it work for your children.

Includes 13 printable A4 pages.
