This curriculum framework invites children to dive into the natural world, exploring minibeasts, flowers and the changing outdoors through hands-on, revisitable learning experiences. Designed for children aged 1–5 years, each of the 8 Invitations to Play includes differentiated guidance, key vocabulary and extension ideas to support children at every stage of development.

Intentionally child-led and inclusive, this framework supports practitioners to nurture curiosity, strengthen fine motor skills, develop early mathematical understanding, encourage communication and language, and promote sustained shared thinking. Using simple, everyday resources alongside optional Colour Thread add-ons, it encourages children to notice, revisit and make meaningful connections with the world around them.
