The Old MacDonald’s Animal Parade Resource Pack has been designed to give you lots of ways to extend a familiar rhyme through small world play, sensory exploration, movement, language and early maths, without needing to create a completely new activity every time.

At the heart of the pack is an Animal Parade with five simple play stops: Sheep Meadow, Pig Puddle, Milk the Cow, Duck Pond and the Animal Parade itself. Children can stroke and care for fluffy sheep, splash muddy pigs, explore milking, guide ducks through water and finish by bringing all of the animals together for their own parade.

Alongside the main invitation are beautifully illustrated farm signs for Duck Pond, Sheep Meadow, Pig Puddle, Barn Stop, Feeding Station, Quiet Stable and Farmer’s Market, making it easy to create different areas within a tuff tray, sensory kitchen, small world space or larger room.

The pack also includes animal footprint cards for muddy pig prints, duck feet, hoof prints and chicken tracks; vocabulary cards for water, oats, vegetables, hay, eggs and feed; and animal sound cards featuring MOO!, OINK!, BAA!, QUACK! and NEIGH! 

There is even a set of Farmer’s Market price tags for carrots, eggs, apples, milk and flowers, giving you an easy way to take the same resources into early number, imaginative shopping and role play.
