A little set of three printable prompt cards designed to sit alongside your provision and give children ideas without telling them exactly what to create.

The cards explore nature, texture and shades of brown, encouraging children to look closely, touch, notice, compare and make their own marks. Pop them beside paints, crayons, mud, clay, natural materials or whatever you already have available and see where the children take them.

The set includes:

Nature Mark Making — noticing the shapes, lines and patterns we find in leaves, sticks, pinecones and other natural treasures.

Textures — exploring words including smooth, rough, bumpy, crumbly, soft, hard, crunchy, grainy, squishy, woolly, ribbed and crinkly.
