The Woodland Light Table invites children to slow down, look closely and explore autumn treasures in an entirely different way. Leaves, feathers, seed heads and other natural materials become something new when placed onto a softly glowing surface, revealing hidden veins, changing colours, delicate patterns, shadows and transparency.

Designed to grow with children from 9 months to 5 years, this invitation moves naturally from early sensory and visual discovery through to comparison, prediction, scientific thinking and independent investigation. Children can sort and arrange materials, investigate what allows light to pass through, explore reflection and shadow, create transient designs and follow their own questions about what they notice.     Woodland Light Table
