Welcome to The Early Years Edit

Calm, practical support for parents and early years professionals, without the overwhelm.

The Early Years Edit exists to cut through the noise, panic, and pressure that so often surrounds early years education. This is a space for clear guidance, honest reassurance, and practical tools that actually work in real life; not just on paper.

Whether you’re a parent navigating the early years, a practitioner feeling stretched, or a leader trying to stay compliant and human, you’re in the right place.

Who This Is For

Parents
Looking for reassurance, understanding, and practical strategies to support your child, from big feelings and potty training to routines and school readiness.

Practitioners
Childminders, nursery staff, and early years professionals who want realistic support with Ofsted, SEND, safeguarding, behaviour, and day-to-day practice, without being made to feel like they’re failing.

Leaders & Owners
Those responsible for compliance, funding, staff wellbeing, and sustainability, who need clarity around inspections, business systems, and regulations without burnout.

About Me

I’m Chloe, an experienced Primary School Teacher, SENDCo, Designated Safeguarding Lead, childminder and business owner, HR and accounts manager, and a mum. Over the years, I’ve worked across education, leadership, safeguarding, SEND, and early years provision, supporting children, families, and professionals in both mainstream and early years settings. I’ve led practice, supported inspections, managed compliance, written policies, handled funding, and navigated the realities of running a regulated childcare business. But I also understand this work from the most important perspective of all, as a parent.

I know how overwhelming it can feel to:

  • Worry you’re not doing enough

  • Feel judged or scrutinised

  • Try to keep up with constant changes

  • Balance quality care with sustainability

The Early Years Edit was created to bring everything I’ve learned into one place: in a way that’s clear, calm, supportive, and realistic.

No jargon.
No fear-based guidance.
No pressure to be perfect.

Just experienced insight, practical tools, and reassurance that you’re doing better than you think.
