Building Walls – Mini Invitation Pack

£8.00Price

Digital Download | Individual Use

Building Walls is an open-ended construction invitation inspired by Humpty Dumpty, designed to spark engineering thinking, resilience and problem solving through hands-on block play.

Children explore height, balance, stability and rebuilding as they test what makes a structure strong… and what makes it fall. This is not about building a “perfect” wall, it’s about thinking, predicting, trying again and developing confidence through purposeful play.

What’s Included:

  • Clear invitation set-up guidance

  • EYFS links across Physical Development, Maths, Understanding the World, Communication & PSED

  • Differentiation from 9 months to 5 years

  • Adult role prompts and modelling language

  • Key vocabulary and phrases to strengthen communication

  • “What achievement looks like” guidance to support observation

This resource supports:✔ Early engineering thinking✔ Mathematical language (tall, wide, strong, balance)✔ Fine & gross motor development✔ Emotional resilience (falling and rebuilding)✔ Spatial awareness and problem solving
