Deep Dark Wood – Cut Out Character Set

Bring your Deep Dark Wood play to life with this set of large printable cut-out characters.

The pack includes 7 familiar woodland story characters, each on their own A4 page, ready to print, cut out and add straight into your provision. The set includes the Gruffalo, Gruffalo Granny, Gruffalo Child, Snake, Owl, Fox and Mouse.     Gruffalo Cut Out Characters (1)

We created these because sometimes you don't need another complicated resource — you just need something that helps children bring the story into their play. Add them to small world scenes, story trays, sensory play, tuff trays or your Deep Dark Wood Café and let the children decide what happens next.

They're brilliant for encouraging storytelling, sequencing, imaginative play and communication and language, particularly for children who benefit from having a visual character to support their play.

Print them onto card or laminate them to make them a little more robust. You could even add them to wooden blocks, lolly sticks or stands to create your own story characters.

Includes 7 large printable characters across 7 A4 pages.

Print. Cut. Play. Use them your way.
